It is only as much as getting the back on axle stands and the wheels off but I had to start somewhere

I can now get the brake calipers off and sent away for refurbishment - they may only need seals but because it is so long since the car was on the road I think a full refurb with new pistons and seals has to be worth doing.

The brakes are very advanced for the age of the car - a disc brake for the footbrake with an integral drum for the handbrake. Apparently it needs the hub removing to replace the handbrake shoes, and that needs a special tool which can be bought or hired - I like to have my own so as long as the cost is reasonable I'll be expanding my tool set with a Lancia specific hub nut removal tool!
