Finally found a suitable strap for the CV joint boot. When I replaced them I used regular zip ties to hold the boots in place but found they didn't work appropriately as they caught on the ball joint - there is very little clearance. The originals were a solid metal band which I couldn't manage to refit whilst the driveshafts were off the car.
I've fitted this metal strap having bought the right tool for it - essentially the clamp that holds it tight is really flush so it is no longer catching. Just need to do the nearside too!
